SOLOMON LAR GOES HOME AT 80
Solomon Lar, an astute Politician in his days has finally gone home. He was member of the first parliament when Nigeria gained her independence in 1960. He would later become the first governor of the Old Plateau State and founding chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party, the largest there is in Africa.
He died yesterday in the US at the good age of 80 after being removed from life support. He would be missed at this time where elder statements in his magnitude were needed in the polity especially at this critical time of transition. May his soul rest in perfect peace.
