Professor Omoruyi who at one time was a deputy Vice Chancellor at the University of Benin passed on in a hospital in Benin, a month after he returned from overseas where he had gone to receive medical treatment.
From several interviews he granted of late, there is the presumption that he left this world bitterly. He felt abandoned by those he felt owed him some favors. This is a lesson to all. No permanent friends. What remains permanent in politics is interest.
The Professor knew his second journey of cancer treatment was fatal and his legacy is what is left for us to see. What would you be remembered for? Good name is better than riches.
May his soul Rest in perfect peace.
