Reports has it that a yet unknown number of members of the Kwara state chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, died on Wednesday night as they scrambled for handouts distributed by former Governor of the state, Bukola Saraki.
Quite a pity that despite the modern era we still witness such an event occurring in cycles repeatedly.
What must have informed such a stampede? Simply put, poverty and hunger in the land. Our democracy has being so be designed for the poor to remain perpetually poor wallowing in abject poverty.
This is a reoccurring event over the years but people still troupe from all corners of the state to get their share of the National cake.
Why won't they try to get some fair share from the PDP largesse?
If they don't try they remain in hunger. If they try they survive for while just before the successor decides to throw some more corn around again.
Nigerians should wise up if they are truly tired of these hand to mouth politicians.Reject their Greek gift. Victory can only be sure when we start thinking as humans not as beggars.
Am Not a Lot. I don't eat the scrums that fall from the table. I demand change and better governance, no matter the society, tribe or religion. I stand to these lords and their wimps and caprices.
Take a stand today!!!!!!!
