Women in the UAE to breastfeed their kids for two years

United Arab Emirates breastfeeding law

Nigerian women need to hear this. The Emirates' Federal National Council has a clause part of their new child right law mandating all women to breastfeed their children for two years. The husbands can sue if the women refuse to comply.

Research has found many benefits of breastfeeding for baby, from reducing the risk of obesity to better language and motor development.
Yet still many mothers in Nigeria have bluntly refused to exclusively breastfeed their children for the mandatory six months for reasons best known to them. They want to remain firm when infact the breast would somehow someday still sage.
We do not have such laws in Nigeria but for the sake of posterity we want the future kids to be sound cognitively and be better placed to fight childhood diseases. Save motherhood must be practiced to its Fullest for us to achieve better health for all and nationhood productivity.
