This is not so good for Nicki Minaj as she just might be flipping her wig soon!
The former "American Idol" judge is facing legal trouble after her former hairstylist Terrence Davidson filed a $30 million lawsuit Friday in the district court in Atlanta.
Davidson claims that he and Minaj made plans to create a wig line together and were in discussions about a possible joint reality show.
According to CNN, Davidson began working for Minaj in January 2010, and as the "Starships" singer began to get more and more famous, so did her supercolorful wigs. Now, the hairstylist is claiming that he lost out on profits after he saw versions of the personalized wigs he'd made on her site. "I see the wigs online," Davidson told CNN about his findings on her site. "People are basically duplicating what I created for Nicki Minaj."
But, while the suit seems to be quite the hairy situation, Davidson's attorney, Christopher Chestnut, told CNN Friday that this lawsuit is about more than just hair.
"On its face, you might think, what this guy is suing over wigs. But we really have to consider this in context," he said. "Hair is a multi billion-dollar industry, but moreover these are not your grandma's wigs. These are eclectic. They are decadent, and they are creative. This is about a brand that Terrence has built."
