To celebrate his first major award win, the Enugu State Government took a full page advertisement slot in The Nation newspaper .

British-Nigerian actor Chiwetel Ejiofor On Sunday 16th February 2014, beat Leonardo DiCaprio and Christian Bale, to win the Leading Actor award at the 2014 EE British Film Academy Film Awards (BAFTAS).
