The First Lady of Enugu State and Gov. Chime

For some time now the First Family in Enugu State has been making headlines in News not for the right reasons.

In exclusive report from Sahara Reporters, We got to know of some purported illegal detention of Clara Chime the wife of the Governor on orders of the Governor,which he had admitted to in a press conference on this issue; basically on the grounds that the wife is not well and didn't want her to be ridiculed.

Reports reaching our desk has it on good authority that she has being returned home to her mother who had longed to be with her allegedly ill-daughter.


I find it disheartening that Reporters are sometimes not objective in reportage. Am not a trained journalist but as one who is well read I can discern easily hypocrites in the game of journalism. The vanguard reported that Mrs Chime refused to speak on the matter to all Journalist but it seems Sahara Reporters are the mouthpiece of Mrs Clara Chime. I don't know where they manufactured the Press conference Clara Chime organised where she claimed some members of her family didn't want her to leave her marriage because they were benefiting directly from the Governor. Also in their report they seem to portray the Wife of the Governor as one who has willfully left her marriage and is no longer interested in her marriage.

I want to posit that SR reporters meddle no further in the Governor's private matters. The zeal with which they pursue issues arising from the South South in general should also be channelled to address issues from the opposition party the APC which they SR seem not to be interested in their reportage. Don't get me wrong I like balanced and fair journalism which cuts across Party affiliation, Regions, Religion and Association.
I sincerely wish that God would bond the family together and heal the differences that seem to abound between the couple.
