“Nigerian Muslim clerics living in the border towns of Cameroon and Nigeria are recruiting Boko Haram members in their mosques”- GOVT OF THE CAMEROUNS

Oh Nigeria, how I feel sorry for you. They burn your cities, kill your citizens, rape your women, steal your children, pillage your lands, insult you openly, desecrate your holy places and destroy your future; yet all you do is bicker amongst yourselves. Your country is burning; yet all you do is point accusing fingers at one another, act as if all is well and talk about who will be President in 2015. When they finally kill all your warriors, impale all your champions, behead all your leaders, rape all your women, dismember your country and take all your children captive, that is when you will know what you were up against. And by then, it will be too late. War is upon us and yet we continue to sleep.

Whistle blower who exposed Scholarship fraud in Delta State still inPolice custody

It is rather appaling that politicians and their associates most times tend to make it more obvious that they do engage in some unwholesome activities when engaged with some quality evidence by trying to circumvent the truth by dubious means. I would have thought that when faced with an allegation of such magnitude of financial embezzlement of public funds what is right is to put the records straight in a more transparent matter. This is not the case these days. It reminds me of the past gory days where it is dangerous course to speak out for justice. I hope my opinion would not trigger men in plain clothes coming after me.

[Read]Why This Mess Won’t Go Away by Dele Momodu

Fellow Nigerians, I have come with my lamentations again. I wish I could spare you this ordeal but something in me makes it impossible to do so. God knows I write not because I expect our country to change from mere writing. I know how difficult it is for a pen to achieve what we couldn’t accomplish under the barrels of guns. I’m not writing because I expect everyone to accept my views. Writing for me is therapeutic.

Is Fani Kayode returning to the PDP?

There were speculations that Femi Fani-Kayode, a former Minister of Aviation and lately, a member of the All Progressives Congress, APC may have decided to return to the ruling Peoples Democratic
Party following his close door meeting with President Goodluck Jonathan on Tuesday.
Fani Kayode who had in the past few months written a series of critical articles against the Jonathan administration, met with the President behind closed-doors at the Presidential Villa on Tuesday.
At the end of the meeting, the former Aviation minister refused to give details of his discussion with the President in an interview with State House correspondents after the visit.
“I won’t go into that,” was the curt reply of the former Aviation minister on his discussions with the President.
Fani Kayode also told journalists since the presidential villa houses the president of Nigeria, every Nigerian is entitled to pay a visit to the place from time to time
On his relationship with the President, Fani Kayode said: “I have always believed that every Nigerian regardless of the side of the political divide they belong, and as a Nigerian myself I have believed that we disagree on an issue from time to time, the most important thing is for us to be able to resolve these issues come together to move this country forward.”
He added that every right thinking and responsible person should be able to come to the villa from time to time and see how they can help to move the country forward.
He was however evasive on whether he is on his way out of APC affirming that he will make his position known at the appropriate time: “The step that I will take will be made known to Nigerians at the right time. The most important thing and I think you are fully aware of this is that I cannot and I will not be associated with a situation whereby any group of people is promoting a religion above another.”
“I think all of us have gone past the stage of religious politics in this country. We must treat the Muslim community with utmost respect and we must treat Christian community in the same way and even the non-religious,” added the former Minister.
Fani Kayode has of recent criticized the rumored attempt of APC to field former Head of State, General Muhammadu Buhari and former Governor of Lagos State, Asiwaju Ahmed Tinubu, who are  both Muslims as the presidential and vice presidential candidate in the impending 2015 general elections.
The former Aviation Minister argued that the party should instead present a Muslim and a Christian for the position.

[Read]Why Are We So Difficult? by Dele Momodu

Fellow Nigerians, I’m sure each and every one of us must wonder sometimes why we find it so difficult to agree on the simple things of life. We seem to quarrel over every little thing like babies fighting over lollipops. Just look around you and see how entire communities are killing themselves under the flimsiest of excuses. It is going to be difficult for good leaders to emerge when we despise ourselves with so much venom.

World Health Day -7 April 2014,Theme:Vector-borne diseases

World Health Day is celebrated on 7 April every year to mark the anniversary of the founding of WHO in 1948. Each year a theme is selected that highlights a priority area of public health. The Day provides an opportunity for individuals in every community to get involved in activities that can lead to better health.
The topic for 2014 is vector-borne diseases.

What are vectors and vector-borne diseases?

Vectors are organisms that transmit pathogens and parasites from one infected person (or animal) to another. Vector-borne diseases are illnesses caused by these pathogens and parasites in human populations. They are most commonly found in tropical areas and places where access to safe drinking-water and sanitation systems is problematic.

The strange Dream of a Muslim-Muslim Ticket- Fani Kayode

“The last notable Christian-Christian ticket was Awolowo-Umeadi in 1979 and the last notable Muslim-Muslim ticket was Abiola-Kingibe in 1993. You can figure out the rest. But let the optimists know that reality always trounces wishful hope in political contests. Chief Femi Fani-Kayode's advice that we get real must be directed where it truly belongs - to the leadership of the APC’’- CHIEF KAYODE SAMUEL, FACEBOOK, 29th MARCH, 2014.

Omisore wins PDP Primaries in Osun State

Sahara Reporters has it that a One time Deputy Governor of Osun State, Senator Iyiola Omisore has won the primaries of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for the Osun State governorship elections scheduled for 9th August 2014.

Omisore polled 1,128 votes to leave his closest challenger, Senator Olasunkanmi, in the dust with 45 votes.
Honourable Wole Oke had four votes. Senator Isiaka Adeleke However polled out from the contest at the eleventh hour, citing the “desperation and determination of an aspirant” (believed to be Omisore) to “maim and kill to secure the ticket at all costs”.

Omisore — who infamously won a senatorial slot in 2003 while in prison for two years standing trial for the murder of late Bola Ige — will contest the election with current Governor of the state, Rauf Aregbesola (APC); former Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Fatai Akingbade (Labour Party); and former Head of Service, Segun Akinwusi (UPN). I see the APC Governors having some good challenge for their seats. We wait to see the outcome from Ekiti State where would stand out as the testing ground for the prowess of these to parties in future elections.

Transcript of a Video on Consent Before Sex By Dr. Doe

Dr. Doe: Remember these books? The ones the publishers say "Oh. Take this. Use this," and I'm like "Mm, it doesn't really meet my standard." This isn't a video to dump on the amazing writers, editors, and publishers of these books, that give a lot of sexual information to people. It's merely to address that there's something fundamental to sex missing in the indexes of these human sexuality textbooks. I'm looking for consent. Why? Because something so ravenous, sweaty, sweet, passionate, loud, and sexy, without consent, is rape.
