Samuragochi 'Japan's Beethoven' admits a 18 years fraud

The famous Japenese music composer nicknamed 'Japan Beethoven' for decades lived a false life.

It is believed he had hearing problem at 17 and became permanently deaf by 35. Ever since then he has churned out classical musical pieces which he claimed to have composed himself relying on 'absolute pitch'.

He has come out to apologize and feel deeply sorry according to his lawyer, claiming he hired someone who actually helped him compose those musical pieces though with some of his ideas.

The Japenese media has come out to name the real composer as Takashi Niigaki,  who the AFP reports released a statement saying he had worked as Samuragochi's ghostwriter for 18 years. Samurai chi achieved success with his soundtrack to the video gameResident Evil; in 2003, he had a major hit with "Hiroshima Symphony." Japanese figure skater Daisuke Takahashi is due to use a piece credited to Samuragochi during the Olympics, the BBC reports.

I begin to wonder why the actual composer waited this long to come out. Why now?

However, now that he has come out to claim his intellectual work just maybe Takashi would now be the composer and Samuragochi the adviser. What do you think?
